Dear LHS Track and Field Team, Family, and Friends,

We are coming towards the end of the track season and we want to take this opportunity to thank all of the parents and friends of the team who helped make this season a success. All of you who came out and helped put on our track and field meets, those of you who attended our track and field meets, and those of you who supported us as team parents, we give you a very BIG Thank you! We truly could not have done it without you!

And it is not over yet! We will have an Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, June 2 at 7 pm in the LHS Cafeteria. There will be dessert, awards, and fun for everyone. Please come and be honored at this ceremony. Everyone who participated in track will be recognized. There will also be special awards and surprises. Come and celebrate the great 2010 season! Details will follow from the organizing committee.

LHS JV Men and Women's' Teams won the PIL JV District Championships!!!

There were amazing performances by both the men's and women's teams with individual wins in the Pole Vault, Triple and Long Jumps, the 800, 1500, and 3K as well as the 4 X 400 meter relay. Congratulations to this fine group of athletes. They are the LHS Track and Field future!!

Tuesday and Wednesday this week, May 18th and 19th the Varsity Districts will be held at Lewis and Clark College beginning at 2pm for field events and 4 pm with the running events. There is a small charge for entry but it is well worth the price. This is going to be an exciting track and field meet as our athlete vie for state meet berths by placing in the top 2 in their event or running, jumping or throwing the state standard. Come and support our team and enjoy some great track and field competition! Hope to see all of you there!

And finally we want to thank you for entrusting your sons and daughters to us this 2010 track and field season. They are wonderful young people and we have so enjoyed working with them. Each year we will continue to grow this program and we are excited to have your athletes be a part of this endeavor. Thank you for your enthusiasm and support!
